Service Description

Andrew Kachel was named the Head Baseball Coach in the fall of 2019. Kachel returned to Northeastern as a coach in the fall of 2014 after a collegiate playing career at Northeastern Junior College, Montana State-Billings, and Colorado State University-Pueblo. Since finishing his playing career, he has coached with the Springfield Sliders (Head Assistant), Colorado State University-Pueblo (Player/Coach), Colorado Springs Renegades/Cutthroats (Head Coach/GM), Adams State University (Head Assistant, helping start the program), and the University of Sioux Falls (Pitching and Recruiting Coach). A catcher throughout high school and college, Kachel was part of Northeastern Junior College’s first-ever Region IX Championship. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2009, he returned in 2010 to lead NJC in batting average. Kachel attended Doherty High School, where he still holds the single-season RBI record (36) and ranks top-5 in batting average. A three-time all-conference selection, he helped lead Doherty to Metro League titles in 2004, 2005, and 2007. As a senior, he played in the 2007 Colorado Top 50 Game at Coors Field. He also competed on the 2007 Pan American squad in Aruba and was a member of the 2007 Connie Mack World Series Host team, the Farmington Cardinals. Throughout his coaching career, Kachel has recruited and coached multiple players who advanced to professional baseball, including Josh Keaton (Baltimore Orioles, 2017), Ryan Aper (Miami Marlins, 2012), Mike Fitzgerald (San Diego Padres, 2014), and Mathew Tellor (Atlanta Braves, 2014). Kachel earned his Associate’s degree from Northeastern, a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science from CSU-Pueblo, and a Master’s degree in exercise science and coaching from Adams State University. Coach Kachel is supported by his wife Amber and their children, Charlie and Cal.


Cancellation Policy

Lessons at The School of Reps are taught by independent instructors who operate their own training businesses while using classroom space within the facility. Arrival Athletes should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled lesson time and be ready to begin at the start of their session. Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled time so that the next athlete’s session is not delayed. Arriving late may reduce the available lesson time. Booking All lessons must be scheduled through The School of Reps booking system. Lesson availability, pricing, and duration are determined by the individual instructor. Lesson rates include both instructor time and classroom use. Cancellation & Rescheduling Lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ will be charged the full lesson fee. Athletes who fail to attend a scheduled lesson without canceling in advance will be considered a no-show and will also be charged the full lesson fee. Instructor Cancellations If an instructor must cancel a lesson, the athlete will be offered the opportunity to reschedule the lesson or receive a full refund. Facility Closures If The School of Reps must close due to severe weather, facility maintenance, power outages, tournaments, special events, or other circumstances that make the facility unavailable, affected lessons will be rescheduled based on instructor availability. If a rescheduled time cannot be agreed upon, the lesson fee will be credited or refunded. Independent Instructors All instructors teaching at The School of Reps are independent contractors and not employees of the facility. Instruction methods and lesson structure are determined by the individual instructor. Booking Integrity All lessons conducted at The School of Reps must be booked through the official School of Reps booking system. Private arrangements to conduct lessons within the facility outside of the booking system are not permitted. Waivers & Conduct All athletes must have a completed School of Reps waiver on file prior to participating. Athletes, parents, and instructors are expected to follow facility rules and maintain a respectful training environment. Limitation of Responsibility The School of Reps provides the training space where lessons take place but is not responsible for the instruction provided by independent instructors.
